The club was formerly referred to as Nakumatt before its chair Francis Mureithi acquired the club mid last season.
“At this point I bid farewell to my club of birth and choice, Gor Mahia. You will remain in my heart.”
“Mount Kenya is a dream I have held over a long time and this will only be good news for Kenyan football. Our immediate focus is to win the 2018/2019 Kenyan Premier League title.”
Moses Kuria has been spotted supporting the Kenyan champions in the stadium and attending fund raising events to support the club when in need.
