DCI on Thursday arrested a woman who had confessed to killing her husband’s lover on radio.
Linda Namukuchu Urandu was arrested in Kasarani area, Nairobi after confessing to have killed the woman in 2012.
Linda had called in during a show on one of the radio stations and revealed that revenge was the motive behind the act.
The police further pointed out that Linda’s former husband, Benson Muthine and his current wife Margaret Tata are in police custody.
DCI Chief Geroge Kinoti called for any person with a missing relative to report to the central police station to aid in the investigation into the matter.
In May this year, Linda described how she lured the deceased and strangled her to death
“I noticed there was woman who my husband had started seeing though he denied it everytime.
“She could boldly call him late at night making my man to forget about me. I secretly took her phone number and when I called she insulted me.
“The woman who proved to be a home wrecker gave in to the hired man’s advances.
“I financed the man to host her on a date at a joint where I went and secretly identified her.
“I paid for a second date and directed the fake boyfriend to make sure she was drunk and booked her in a River Road lodging,” explained Linda.
Kinoti explained that the woman will remain in police custody for 10 days to facilitate with investigations into the murder.
