College student hospitalized after fight over food

Have you ever been  bullied  back in high school?

A student from Kilimambogo Vocational Training Institute in Thika ,who thought he was the most hungry in the school demanded to be served first without queue in their school cafeteria.

But shock on him, he was beaten by a “mburukenge” by his colleagues and  left fighting for his life  at Thika Level Five Hospital.

The student is alleged to have refused to queue for food at the cafeteria and demanded to be served first after showing up at the institution situated near Kithimani Shopping Centre intoxicated.

The student leader reportedly attempted to calm down the said student but he hit him (student leader) on the head with metal object prompting the hungry students who were on the queue descended on the learner with blows and kicks.

The victim is believed to have been drunk when the incident occurred at the institution which is located near the Kithimani Shopping Center.

Confirming the incident, Yatta OCS Gikunda Mbaya said the student was treated at Kithimani Health Facility before being transferred to Thika Level Five Hospital for further medication.
