The ministry of Education is making arrangements to have five candidates that have been hospitalised to take their examinations from the hospital.
The Kenya Certificate of Primary School Education (KCPE) examinations kicked off Tuesday morning the five lacking the opportunity to start along with their colleagues. We however wish them a quick recovery for them to take their tests which they have been preparing for all along.
According to Education Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed, three candidates from Githunguri, Ruiru and Kasarani are hospitalized and arrangements are currently being made for them to take the tests in hospital, citing that the government was not going to leave any child behind.
Three candidates from Githunguri, Ruiru and Kasarani are hospitalized and ample arrangements have been made to administer the examination in hospital. This will be the practice across the country. We will leave no child behind.

Mohamed was leading other Cabinet Secretaries in supervising the examinations countrywide and she was in Kiambu.

Elsewhere, two candidates from Nyandarua central have been hospitalized with one being in a coma while the other is admitted to hospital.
Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa who supervised the exam in the county stated that arrangements are in progress to ensure effective administration of the examination for the candidate who is conscious.

Wamalwa expressed confidence that the exercise will proceed smoothly as all measures had been put in place to ensure its effective administration.
Interior CS Fred Matiangi was in Garissa County, while his environment counterpart Keriako Tobiko inspected the opening of KCPE exam papers in Athi river Deputy County Commissioners office.
Central Regional Commissioner together with education officials from Nyeri County Wilson Njega released the exams to various school heads in the county.
