Richard Quest Over the moon; shares breakfast with Giraffes

It’s not every day that you get a chance to have breakfast with giraffes. CNN journalist seems to be ticking off hi bucket list in Kenya after he had breakfast in the company of giraffes at one of Nairobi’s most iconic buildings, the Giraffe Manor, a house with gardens and a resident herd of endangered giraffes situated in Karen.

The giraffe manor has proved to be one of Kenya’s tourist attractions due to it’s extraordinary appeal. From as long ago as the 1930s, European visitors flocked to East Africa and flew to Kenya for safari compared the feeling of being at the Giraffe Manor to that of walking into the film ‘Out of Africa.’

Richard Quest is not the first American media personality to visit the giraffe manor and express his excitement. Earlier this year, comedian and TV host, Ellen Lee DeGeneres of the Ellen Show visited the manor in a rather low-key visit to Kenya.

Although Richard Quest is in the country ahead of the inaugural Nairobi to New York flight on 28th October, the CNN journalist is clearly enjoying the vacation in Nairobi. The Quest Means Business show will go live from the country as he prepares to join passengers on the inaugural Kenya Airways flight to New York on October 28.

Do you think Kenyans appreciate local tourism like the Giraffe manor as much as ‘outsiders’ do?
