Yesterday, the Governor of Kirinyaga County Ann Waiguru, presided over the launch of Wanguru market, one of the 5 markets earmarked for upgrade in Kirinyaga county.
Waiguru said that traders no longer suffer inconvenience moving goods back and forth between home and market.
The launch event was also attended by Kirinyaga Deputy governor and MCAs .
Adding on to her statement, Waigura ssaid that the expansion and rehabilitation of markets creates more jobs and better interactions between traders and buyers.
“The upgraded facilities at Wanguru market, Mwea will create an enabling environment to boost trade.” she said

The launch was also spiced up with a dance that has left Kenyans talking. The Kirinyaga County Governor Ann Waiguru let loose as she showcased her dance moves that the audience felt was unbeatable. Waiguru was dancing alongside a talented youth group from Mwea. Kenyans have said that she executed the gwara gwara dance so well.
