The renown media personality ,Nick Odhiambo reveals details as to why he had to cut his dread after growing them for his 7 years .
Despite being known to be the guy who took care of his dreadlocks for too long that it became his trademark, Nick Odhiambo who hosts rhumba show at Radio Maisha ,Papa Nick decided to visit Betty Kyallo’s Flair By Betty and chopped them all off.
Many didn’t know why Nick decided to cut his dreadlocks but he finally explained why on Talk Central.
Talking to Kalekye on Talk Central ,Radio Maisha host disclosed that he was messing around with a hot babe who he later got to find out was HIV positive.
“I decided to cut off my dreads because it was October the cancer awareness month, I had changed jobs and some things had happened in my life and I decided to change everything. In 2017 something happened in my life and I said ‘Dear God I will not do this again.’ Eh, it’s a messed up story,” He started.
Adding that chopping off his dreads and losing weight was a way of revamping his life after a HIV scare.
He further explained , “I was messing around with this chic then after messing around for some time I found out that she has got HIV. Weh! Weh! Eeh! I went to the hospital I did all those tests and I said ‘God to give me another chance I will never let you down. Let me change my life.’ Everything just started happening, I changed houses, changed girlfriends, the only thing I had remained was the job and the look. So I got a job at a Swahili station and as things were going on I just had to get rid of the look. That’s how the look changed.”
Papa Nick decided to make a drastic change in his whole life , He shaved his dreads, lost weight, moved out of his house, changed jobs and even stopped messing around with random women in the bid to act according to God’s will.
