Benga Maestro Joseph Kamaru was today laid to rest in what many termed as a Celebration of a life well lived by a musical legend.
Kamaru was accorded a state burial with various dignitaries led by President Uhuru Kenyatta attending his final send off.
The funeral was full of light moments from NASA leader Raila Odinga giving an hilarious explanation about “Canaan,” to Deputy Presiden Ruto and Uhuru joking about the way to heaven.
One such light moment that caught the mourners attention was when Joseph Kamaru’s sister, Catherine Gathoni aka Selina enjoyed a light moment with the president. The two could be seen having a close chat as they laughed everything out. The large crowd of mourners was moved by them that everybody started cheering and clapping.
