Joseph Irungu and his fiance TV journalist Jacque Maribe are currently at the Milimani Law courts facing murder charges for the death of business woman Monica Kimani. The two are before lady justice Jessie Lessit.
The two arrived in court separately accompanied by their lawyers. Mrs. Maribe was accompanied by Lawyer Katwa Kigen while Mr. Irungu was accompanied by Lawyer Cliff Ombeta who is also the lawyer to embattled Migori Governor Okoth Obado.
Maribe and Irungu are being charged following orders by the director of public prosecutions Noordin Haji who earlier in the day ordered that the two are arraigned in court and charged accordingly.
