Joe Irungu parents’ for the first time spoke on the murder charges labelled against their son. Joe Irungu who have been in custody for over a week now is being accused of the murder of the business lady Monica Kimani in his Kilimani residential place.
The parents gave a different version of events that occurred during the night of Monica Kimani murder and the gunshot injury suffered by their son.
Jowie’s parents speaking in hidden cameras said that the allegations against their son are all lies. The parents said the blood samples in which the police claimed they had taken from Jowie is not his true sample. The blood sample places Jowie at the sight of the murder in Kilimani estate inside the late Monica’s apartment.
The last born to the family which has taken long to speak on this issue, has claimed that the occurrence are a shock to the family. According to the family Joe Irungu was admitted in Kijabe Hospital for a day before being discharged.
According to the father , Irungu was shot on a Friday night by unknown assailants. According to the father , Jowie worked in Dubai before returning back to Kenya during the campaigns period in the 2018 General election.
Jowie who is was brought up by the Christian background has been held a long the famous TV presenter Jackie Maribe and Kasaini Brian who is the gun owner with which its alleged that Jowie used to shot himself with.
This revelation comes after Jowie is expected to be arraigned in court today for the case hearing. According to the office of the DPP Jowie is directly linked to the murder of the business lady Monica Kimani along side Maribe and Kasaini as accomplices in the brutal murder of the late Monica Kimani.
The new evidence of the blood sample which is expected to be presented before the court during the hearing on Monday.
Although the parents are in defense of their son, the prosecutor will present evidence which will determine the fate of Jowie Irungu.
The defense of Joe Irungu is expected to request for the bail for the client depending on the intensity of the evidence which will be presented in the court today.
Jackie Maribe who is represented by the criminal lawyer , Cliff Ombeta is expected also to appeal for a bail as she is being held for alleged being involved in the covering up of his fiance Jowie .Her samples were also taken in connection with the murder and the results are also expected during the course of the day.
The hearing of the Case comes in a week where even the Migori governor is expected to be arraigned in court in the murder connection of Sharon Otieno. Obado is admitted at Kenyatta national hospital is expected in the court to today to answer to the murder charges labelled against the two.
The families of the murdered will be present in the court demanding justice for their loved ones who were brutally murdered in cold blood.
The family of Monica also buried the dead last week while the family of Sharon is expected to finish up with the preparation for the burial as they remain optimistic that justice will be served.
