The arrest of TV news anchor Jacque Maribe has raised a lot of concern as many have questioned on how she is involved in Monica Kimani’s murder case. With the details revealed in statements she recorded, the most that Kenyans are left with is partial confusion and details given in bits as the mystery unravels.
Recent details have emerged alleging that the DNA results obtained from the samples which had earlier been taken; place the suspect Joseph Irungu (Maribe’s fiancee) at the scene of the murder.
The coverage of this case by the media has been criticized since it emerged as Kenyans claimed that some media houses are taking advantage at the expense of getting clicks for their stories. Some leaders and other Kenyans have revealed their confidence in the DCI over this case and believe that justice will be served.
John Kaguchia (Speaker of Nyeri County assembly) today gave his thoughts on Monica Kimani’s murder: Looking from the investigations that have been going on, we can tell that our police have the capacity. This capacity can now help us unravel killers of other assassinations

Following the alleged details on the DNA results, Kenyans on twitter have questioned on whether this could be a peep into Maribe’s freedom.
#K24Alfajiri looking at the dailies, the Judge in Monica Kimani ‘s case has an easy job. I mean, the daily newspapers have convicted Joseph Irungu. It is time, Jacque Maribe’ s freedom be granted to her. pic.twitter.com/3w87woFUnv

Saina. If forensics have proved it without Jacque ‘s DNA, why arrest her in the first place. The law is an ass!!

But they need to know if she knew about the murder and failed to report or she tried to cover up the issue.

From the nation, another probe in line to the same case is revealed…
‘A knife from TV anchor Jacque Maribe’s kitchen was last night undergoing scientific testing to establish if it is the weapon in the September 19 killing of Monica Kimani, according to Daily Nation sources.
Material from the crime scene was also undergoing DNA testing to conclusively establish persons who may have been in the bathroom where Ms Kimani was found with her mouth taped, hands tied at the back, legs bound and her throat slit.”
After the results are established .. it is believed that this will bring us closer to solving the case.
