Miguna’s quest to Migori People backfires

Kenyans on twitter have opposed Dr Miguna Miguna’s request to have Eddy Oketch voted as the new Migori County Senator in the upcoming October 8, 2018 senatorial by-elections.

Lawyer  Miguna who was deported to Toronto, Canada in March this year wants Eddy Oketch voted in.

The Migori senatorial seat was declared vacant by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission after the Senator Ben Oluoch succumbed to cancer early this year.

Miguna wrote what he termed as a humble appeal to Migori people via his official twitter account to wake up early on October 8, 2018 and vote in Eddy Oketch.

Miguna argues that other candidates in the race are just but mere lies, propaganda and perennial violence.

He has urged Migori voters to reject ODM Party’s Ochilo Ayacko.

He considers Oketch as a young and visionary leader who have people’s interests at hand.

However, Miguna’s ‘humble requst’ seem to have backfired following the reactions it has received.

Kenyans on Twitter have not taken it easy, as some now accuse Miguna of dictatorship, with some arguing out that Miguna’s preferred candidates never go through in any election.

Here are some of the reactions.
