Handshake not working in Ruto’s favour?

ODM leaders led by Governor Hassan Joho reacted to DP William after he accused Raila Odinga of ‘conmanship.’ Speaking to the press on Monday in Nairobi, Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed and Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho urged the Deputy President to respect Mr. Odinga, saying the DP is not the former premier’s political equal.

Speaking during a live interview this morning,  political analyst and advocate Joy Mdivo also reacted to DP Ruto’s  claims.

“When you look keenly at his statements about Raila, you cannot dismiss what he has said because they have history. The DP may have reasons to be uncomfortable with the handshake between the President and Raila Odinga” She stated

KOT have urged the Deputy President to stop using Raila Odinga as a scapegoat and face President Kenyatta instead.

Why is William Ruto after Raila? His boss invited Raila for the handshake. The person he should nail down is the President. Stop scapegoating, and face him head on. https://t.co/IxSZjZZpTk

Ruto on Sunday claimed Mr. Odinga was taking advantage of the unity deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta to further his personal political agenda. “The handshake is not a license so that you can bring confusion, propaganda and conman-ship into our party,”said Ruto in a veiled attack at the ODM Party leader.
