Plotters of Sharon’s murder were planning to execute three other people who knew about Sharon, to cover up the crime.
According to DCI George Kinoti, more than three people who knew about Sharon’s murder were to be executed.
“Between three to five people who knew about Sharon’s murder were to be killed. Luckily, we uncovered the conspiracy.” Kinoti told a local media house.
According to Kinoti, after Sharon’s killing, the next step was to eliminate some of those involved. But since her execution involved many parties, the case might be easier to solve, because, “there is no mystery in a murder involving many people. A murder case that is complex to crack is often the one that involves only one individual.”
Migori Governor Okoth Obado and his two aides Michael Oyamo and Caspal Obiero have been charged with the murder of the 26 year old Rongo University student.
Sharon, who was carrying Obado’s baby was found dead in a thicket in Kodera forest near Oyugis early this month. An autopsy report revealed that she had been stabbed eight times.
