Family Reveals where to bury Monica Kimani

The slain Monica Kimani who was murdered at an apartment in Nairobi’s Kilimani area will be buried Friday in Nakuru.

A requiem mass in her honour was held at the family home in Thika Thursday, where her parents and other siblings gave emotional tributes.

Her father Reverend Paul Ngarama said he has forgiven the killers but is still keen to know who killed his 28-year-old daughter and why.

He recalled his last moments with Monica, and even revealed her promise to buy him a Landcruiser V8 after she had bought the mother a Subaru Impreza.

Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu who attended the requiem mass called for tougher laws for capital offences, while discouraging bail granted to murder suspects.

The police have so far manage to arrest the suspect into the murder case, Joseph Irungu alias Joe Jowie who happens to be Journalist Jacque Maribe’s fiance.

Irungu however denied charges in Kiambu Court and was detained for police to complete investigations into the case.

He was denied bail on grounds that he would interfere with the ongoing investigations.

On Thursday Jacque Maribe was interrogated at kilimani Police Station where she recorded a statement saying she only knew Monica after breaking the news about the Kilimani gruesome murder.
