Emery to switch to 4-2-3-1 formation for Watford match

Arsenal take on Watford at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners have hit form under Unai Emery, winning their last four Premier League matches and getting off to victorious starts in both the Europa League and Carabao Cup.

But they will face a tough test on Saturday as the Hornets are flying high in fourth one point ahead of the Gunners.

The Spanish boss mixed things up in the Carabao Cup in midweek, with youngster Emile Smith-Rowe handed a start and a few other squad players given chances to shine too.

But we expect him to bring most of the big guns back here, with the next game against Azerbaijani side Qarabag not until Thursday.

Centre-back Sokratis Papastathopoulos is a doubt with a dead leg sustained against  Everton, so Rob Holding could deputise with fellow defenders Konstantinos Mavropanos (groin) and Laurent Koscielny (Achilles) not available until late October and early November respectively.

Left-back Sead Kolasinac is back fit after an knee injury, as is forgotten man Carl Jenkinson who picked up an ankle issue in pre-season.

Aaron Ramsey is currently involved in a contract stand-off with the club, and reports today claim he could be on his way in January.

With that in mind, Danny Welbeck, who has impressed lately and scored twice in the cup win over Brentford, could come in on the right flank.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks set to carry on playing off the left flank, with Alexandre Lacazette excelling in a central role lately.

Here is the suspected lineup:

Arsenal (4-2-3-1)

Cech; Bellerin, Mustafi, Holding, Monreal; Torreira, Xhaka; Welbeck, Ozil, Aubameyang; Lacazette
