So it’s no surprise as Reds we’re pretty happy with what went on at Old Trafford! It’s always good to see rivals fall out of cup competitions, and if we beat Chelsea this evening, the Blues will be gone as well.
Jose Mourinho naturally reacted with incredible negativity and decided to destroy Phil Jones’s confidence in his post-match press-conference. Most managers would offer the player who missed a penalty support, but not the bitter Portuguese.
‘We practice penalties and we see it in training and when we get past the sixth penalty I know we’re in trouble with Bailly and Jones,’ Mourinho told Sky Sports, cited in the Metro.
Liverpool fans are spoilt with Jurgen Klopp in many ways, but can you imagine the German even considering throwing his players under the bus – following a penalty loss?! It simply wouldn’t happen.Here is how the Reds fans reacted:
