Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne traveled to London to meet national team captain and Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Victor Wanyama ahead of crucial AFCON qualifiers matches against Ethiopia next month.
Even though the agenda of the meeting was not disclosed, it is aimed to clear the air between the two after Wanyama refused to travel to Nairobi to face Ghana early this month. Wanyama, who was recovering from an injury opted to stay in London and build his fitness rather than travel.
Coach Migne, appeared to have disagreed with the decision, saying that the midfielder ought to have traveled to Nairobi to be assessed by national team doctors.
But Kenya, went ahead to stun Ghana 1-0 and revive their hopes of qualifying for AFCON. Migne needs his best players ahead of a crucial double header against Ethiopia and he sees Wanyama as an integral part of his plans.
Migne has already named his 21 man squad to do duty against Ethiopia. The squad mainly comprises of the players who played against Ghana.
