Liverpool remain the only team intact with a 100 percent record after Chelsea’s draw at West Ham but they weren’t the big winners this past weekend.

Indeed, Burnley and Leicester stopped their respective rots while Tottenham got back to winning ways to remain in touch with the top sides.

Keeping tabs on all 20 Premier League teams is our season-long measurement for top flight sides as we track each club throughout the campaign and take into account their results to assign positions.

We initially used reputation and squad worth to determine the starting price but from Gameweek 2 onward, we’ve examine their output to create a new value.

The total points gained for the season are used as a tiebreaker but sides which have produced big wins against strong opposition get a big boost and vice versa.

Manchester City:

Total for 2018/19: +36

A 300th appearance in Manchester blue for Sergio Aguero and the Argentine delivered a “This is City” performance to knock the stuffing out Cardiff. The champions responded from their Champions League shock defeat to Lyon by dismantling the newcomers 5-0 in a wet Wales. Too slick, too fast and too clinical, it was emphatic stuff from Pep Guardiola’s side.

Liverpool:

Total for 2018/19: +45

For the first time in Liverpool’s history they have won their first seven games of the season, but not for the first time this season, three points arrived with little trouble. The Reds haven’t conceded at Anfield in their last eight league games and Southampton barely threatened to leave a mark on their fortress. Xherdan Shaqiri started his first game since signing from Stoke and was outstanding. Liverpool lead the way at the top of the table but still remain a little away from City’s valuation.

3. Chelsea:

Total for 2018/19: +27

Jorginho broke the Premier League record for passes attempted with a dizzying 180, but it wasn’t enough to help Chelsea find a route to goal and break West Ham’s resistance. It was the first time under Maurizio Sarri the Blues had dropped points in the Premier League and credit is due to West Ham. They strangled the influence of Eden Hazard and while Chelsea dominated possession, they failed to translate that into tangible reward.

4. Manchester United:

Total for 2018/19: -20

Jose Mourinho described the draw with Wolves as a more disappointing result than the defeat to Tottenham. He said: “It looks a contradiction, but I’m more disappointed than I was against Tottenham. Because against Tottenham, obviously we lost the game, but I liked very, very much my team’s performance. (Against Wolves), of course, we had a better result – one point is better than zero. But I did not like my team.” Paul Pogba then questioned United’s negative tactics at home to indicate the feeling maybe mutual between team and manager.
