Drogba sends a word of advice to struggling Chelsea strikers

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has asked Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud to add confidence into their game as it would make them harder to play against.

Drogba had two stints at Chelsea with his first being highly successful as he played 226 games scoring 100 league goals from 2004 to 2012.

The Ivorian then had spells at Shanghai Shenhua and Galatasaray before returning to Chelsea in 2014, playing for a season before joining Montreal Impact in the Major Soccer League (MLS).

Giroud and Morata have struggled to get goals this season with the duo just netting a combined total of one goal so far this season.

Drogba revealed that for a striker it’s all about confidence, “I hope they will have the same success that I had. When I came [to Chelsea] it wasn’t easy for me. I think for strikers it is just a matter of confidence and do you want to improve your game and make yourself more difficult to play against. I think that’s what they are doing and I hope they will get more success because they deserve it.”
