Migori Governor Okoth Obado is being arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts in Nairobi awaiting to be charged with murder of Rongo University student Sharon Otieno.
A statement released by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation states that Obado will be charged with the offence of aiding and abetting the commission of the felony termed murder.
Governor Obado was already at the court but the case has been delayed since the court room had been booked for another unnamed case. Counsel Cliff Ombeta will lead a group of other lawyers in representing the Governor with an intention of securing his release on bail. Last week on Thursday, Directorate of Criminal Investigation boss George Kinoti ordered that Obado be detained at Gigiri Police Station on grounds that he could interfere with the investigations.

The choice of charge preferred against Governor Obado is a tricky route prosecutors must navigate.
Accomplices must normally be physically present during commission of the crime. Testimony against him must be corroborated. No doubt this must be a solid case
