Miguna: Don’t Blame Duale, Mbadi for the VAT Tax

Lawyer Dr. Miguna Miguna has urged Kenyans not to blame majority leader Aden Duale and Minority leader Joh Mbadi for the passing of the 8% VAT tax on Thursday.

Miguna says the Kenyans have to blame the duos bosses, President Uhuru Kenyatta, his deputy William Samoei Ruto and the ODM Party leader Raila Odinga who joined the government after the March 9th 2018 handshake.

Miguna claims that the trio( Uhuru, Ruto,Raila) are the ones who advised their allied members of parliament to forcefully pass Uhuru’s proposed 8% VAT tax.

On Thursday the MPs chaotically voted for the passing of the tax which has seen the imposition of a 15% tax on data bundles, a rise of mobile money transfer services from 10% to 20%, a rise of bank transaction services to 20% and an increase of tax on betting and gambling.

Miguna further notes that the trio government bosses have messed the nation by forcefully imposing taxes on its citizens to hurt them since they have been already struggling to make the ends meet.

He moreover notes that the en-troubled tax voting was choreographed to ensure that the wishes of the president and his allies comes to pass.
