Kenyans are the most taxed on Earth!K.O.T React

Kenyans have taken to twitter to demonstrate and share the common scam they know under a hashtag #CommonscamIknow.

Much of their reactions revolved around the Kenya’s looming taxes as a result of the introduction of the 16% VAT tax on petroleum products which came into effect on 1st September 2018 after the law makers’ efforts to suspend it failed.

However, the 2018 Finance Bill was presented to President Uhuru Kenyatta awaiting his sign to make it a law but he rejected it and proposed a new proposal of 8% VAT tax on fuel.

The memo was send back to the National Assembly for debate which will be determined on Thursday as the MPs meet for the second time.

It was realised that the 8% VAT proposal by the president will result to introduction of new taxes on telecommunication services should the MPs pass it.

However, Kenyans have been sharing their opinions under the “common scam i know” hashtag, claiming that over taxing Kenyans is a scam by the government.

They claim that Kenyans are the highly taxed individuals on this earth as they likened the current government with KANU error.

Here are some of the reactions from Kenyans.
