Deputy President William Ruto is in the Republic of Congo for an official tour.
He travelled on Wednesday alongside Mining and Petroleum CS John Munyes, Governors Kahiga Mutahi (Nyeri), Granton Samboja (Taita Taveta) and Trade PS Chris Kiptoo.

On arrival at the Maya Maya International Airport in Brazzaville, Mr Ruto was received by Congolese PM Clement Mouamba.
The deputy president’s tour is aimed at promoting cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
During the tour, he will lead a delegation in signing a framework agreement for cooperation between Kenya and the Republic of Congo.

Kenya and the Republic of Congo will agree to work together in political, economy, trade, investment, agriculture, science, technology, culture, education, health, media, film and sports among other areas.
The two countries will be focusing on promoting business relations between public entities, private, non-governmental organizations, economic operators and researchers.
They will also advocate for peace and international security in accordance to the purpose and principle of the charter of the United Nations.
