Former Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has called on Mt Kenya leaders to join other leaders in Kenya who are advocating for fewer constituencies, counties and wards.
This was in response to one of the local dailies’ headline dubbed ” Mt Kenya Leaders Lobby For More constituencies ahead of 2022 Polls.”
The local daily had captured Mt Kenya leaders in a story who were demanding more constituencies ahead of the next 2022 polls.

Khalwale’s followers on Twitter went to support him as they strongly opposed Mt Kenya leaders’ move, citing that they are just hungry for powers.
They moreover claimed that most political leaders do not represent their people to the fullest but instead fight for their own benefits.
@KBonimtetezi this power hungry folks of ours cant they want even more so that they can have a place to represent. They never speak for us they speak for themselves. Si ulisikia moses omunyambi jana

However, another twitter user went on to condemn the Ex-Senator for remaining quiet on matters Kakamega county but instead come out and hold a rally to empower Kakamega County youths.
Daktari you can’t even hold a rally. Avoid funerals and hold a rally we see. The other day I challenged you to meet youths of Kakamega County then you went and met 12 youths. Malala is now holding a medical camp in Katch & obliterating your presence. What are you doing? Wake up!! https://t.co/XanTStvx8E
