Dr Mutua said the adverts were not submitted to the vetting board for classification before airing on local stations.

The Pwani Oil advert had a setting on the shore of an ocean showing a woman seducing a man.

The Marie Stopes advert promised relief to women carrying unplanned pregnancies.

“The Board also demands that Marie Stopes issue a public apology for airing such content without submission for examination and classification,” said Mr Mutua.
