Tension in Homabay over Sharon Otieno’s murder case has led to the transfer of Michael Oyamo, Governor Okoth Obado’s P.A and a suspect in the murder case to Nairobi.

According to sources, Oyamo was moved from Homa Bay Police Station where he had spend the last night following the continued protests that were being witnessed.

His legal team that had been appointed by senior magistrate Lecester Simiyu among them his brother George Oyamo remained in dark of the whereabouts of Oyamo.

On Tuesday morning, advocate June Ashioya and her co-counsel arrived at the Homa Bay High Court to wait for their client to appear as was directed by the Senior Magistrate on Monday.

They were however forced to move to Homa Bay police station to seek knowledge over their client’s whereabouts moments before he did not appear at the Homa Bay High Court.

Homa Bay residents who had gathered outside the Homa Bay High Court awaiting Oyamo’s arraignment started leaving on realizing that the suspect was nowhere to be seen.

Sharon Otieno, a second year diploma student at Rongo university was executed after being abducted alongside NMG journalist Barrack Oduor who rescued himself by jumping outside a moving vehicle after sensing danger.

Oduor was following up a story involving Sharon and Governor Obado whereby Sharon had called him to meet Oyamo at a Hotel in Homa Bay before they were abducted last week.

Sharon’s body was later found next to Kodera Forest with stab wounds that the Government Pathologist said also pierced the unborn baby to death.
