3 Premier League players struggling at the moment

Brighton & Hove Albion v Manchester United - Premier League

The season is long, and the players are already breaking records set by the legends themselves. With Liverpool being on top of the table, and Chelsea right behind, their top guns are making the best use of their time on the pitch.

With a solid foundation and a will to compete in every match, this year’s Premier League has been all about the individual credentials, as many have resurrected, leaving the top guns behind.

David De Gea – Manchester United

Despite being one of the most high-profile goalkeepers in the Premier League, De Gea’s form is in jeopardy. With only one clean sheet in his last four games, the Spanish keeper continues to shiver with the lack of saves.

De Gea has been in the squad for almost 7 seasons, playing over 250 games for the Red Devils, and has given some of the most outstanding saves of his career to the fans. However, this season hasn’t really been in his gloves, as he now struggles in every aspect of goalkeeping. From missing out simple and obvious saves, to struggling defensively.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Arsenal

Cardiff City v Arsenal FC - Premier League
Often considered as being one of the fastest football players ever to step foot on the pitch, Aubameyang gave Arsenal fans hope as soon as he arrived. Being one of the most celebrated goalscorers in the Bundesliga, the Gabonese International had a splendid career with the Borussia Dortmund side, gaining his nomination in the FIFA Ballon d’Or top 30 once upon a time.

Auba arrived at the Emirates in January 2018, for a fee of about £65 million. After scoring almost 10 goals last season, the former BVB starlet made sure he wasn’t doubted. However, this season hasn’t really been his breakout one, as with only one goal, Aubameyang keeps the struggle alive.

Mesut Ozil – Arsenal

The rising star of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and of course the winner of the 2014 World Championship with Germany, Ozil is one of the only few attacking midfielders to have had a slow start this season.

Despite The Gunners’ victory over Cardiff City quite recently, he has not been able to sort out his form. In simple words, his behavior continues to be the same. With an ongoing conflict with his manager, the former German International could soon leave the Emirates.
