Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has blamed the team’s poor run in knock-out competitions to their congested fixture list. The record Kenya Premier League champions were knocked out of the CAF confederations Cup when they went 2-1 down to USM Alger of Algeria before suffering the same fate to Kariobangi sharks in the SportPesa Shield tournament just four days later.
After the Sharks elimination, the Gor Mahia tactician went to Social Media to partly hail his charges for the fantasic season they have had but also lamented on the team’s congested fixture schedule that saw the team play 20 matches in the space of 60 days.
FKF President?
Congratulations to Sharks they were the better side today I can, however bad we played be so proud how they gave everything even though it wasn’t the best today. Thank you to the K’Ogalo family who supported us today pole that we lost. FKF president new what he was doing

20 Games in 60 days..
20 games in 60 days there’s a saying Fail to Prepare, Prepare to Fail … we have done everything as a technical team to maintain a winning mentality, fitness and be motivated and will continue to do this as long as we can do it the right way. You do the math how can I prepare ?

Not human..
Dr, what we have done is not human even if we are Kenyan. NOT ONE WORLD ASSOCIATION would do our programme which includes Travel, sleeping away and playing to the intensity we do. What these guys do no money could buy we give everything ALL of us do. Been an amazing achievement https://t.co/IdJ8xttcIL

The fans were in agreement too
It was not fair for @OfficialGMFC coz they'd not rested. But it won't take them far. They can't go past 1st round of CAF Confederation Cup

Plus who to sign in the off season..
Quality signings. We need a natural left back, a play-maker in midfield of kahata's quality and a striker to partner Tuyisenge. CAF Champions League quarters should be @OfficialGMFC target. All the best

The team did however bag the Kenyan Premier League for the second season in a row and with it a slot in next season’s CAF Champions League.
