Football Kenya Federation are not sure if Kenyan skipper Victor Wanyama will be available for the clash against Ghana.
Wanyama suffered a kneee injury setback during the preseason and has missed their opening games even though he resumed training before the Manchester United
FKF president Nick Mwendwa hopes Tottenham will allow the midfielder joining the team as his presence will be boost morale in the camp.
Mwendwa added that head coach Sebastian Migne will assess the midfielder incase he is granted a chance to join the National team Camp.
“Victor has started training and it is the head coach who knows who will feature in the game. His presence alone is a booster for the team and we would be glad if his club gave him some time to be with the team as per if he would play or not that rests with the coach who should give a comprehensive answer when the team assembles next week,” Mwendwa said
Wanyama’s knee has been a problem and the National team has been forced on several ocassion to do without the start in 2017 and 2018 matches after Tottenham resquested that he stays out action as he recovers.
