Zoo coach speaks on win over Sharks

Zoo FC Head Coach Sammy Okoth says their plan was to lock out Kariobangi Sharks by denying them spaces and hitting them on counter attacks and he is delighted that the plan worked well for them.

The Kericho based side picked a 2-1 win at Camp Toyoyo thanks to goals from Sabiri Sindani and Mike Madoya. Their Hosts netted the consolation through Duke Abuya. Okoth is happy that their plan in the game worked well for them and earned them crucial points.

The coach is delighted that the win has sent the side out of the danger zone and he aims to have a good display in the upcoming matches to be safe from the relegation.

“We had a strategy for Sharks and I am very happy it worked. Our plan was to deny them spaces by not pressing very high and hitting them on the counter and that is how we got our two goals. The win is very crucial for us as it takes us off the relegation zone but we have to keep up with the good performance in the next matches.”  he said.
