Police Looking for the Woman Filmed Mercilessly Beating a Drank Man

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) is looking for a woman who was captured on video beating up a man at an unknown location.

The ODPP has appealed to the public to help in tracing the woman as part of efforts to take action against her.

“Calling on the public to provide details of this incident ie perpetrator, location and date to inform appropriate action by the .@ODPP_KE,” it stated through its Twitter account.

The woman was filmed beating up the man and could be heard demanding a Sh200 debt from him. The video comes in the wake of increased domestic violence affecting both men and women with the Director of Public Prosecutions saying action will be taken on anyone found in such drama.

“Tens of women have gone scot free after chopping of men genitals .Its worse than rape but we have continued to stay silent about while the media makes fun of it.Lets end new form of gender biasness in the name of equality.” A man by the name Tha Crusader replied to the tweet.

Kenyans have reacted emotionally to the video, with some suggesting that violence against men does not receive the seriousness it deserves like against women.

Another Kenyan , asked for increased conversation on gender based violence against men. Most men who are victims of violence often suffer in silence because of male chauvinism. Most Kenyans view a man who is beaten by a woman as a weak species.

“We would also appreciation some medals if that would help start the conversation on gender based violence against men and help end the long-standing notion that men are a monolithic class of ‘batterers’ and women a monolithic class of helpless victims.”
