Celebrated Tanzanian bongo musician Diamond Platnumz on Monday penned a heartwarming message to his daughter Tiffah Dangote as she turned three years.
The Bongo star went on to divulge that he always prays for her and wished her the very best in her future endeavours.
In the post Diamond said, “I do love you, not because you are my Daughter…Nah! I love you because you love me more than anything in the World.Sometimes I even wonder why you Love me so….and that is the reason why I can’t sleep without praying for you…I can’t sleep without thinking about you… and most of the time when you come to my mind I feel like I owe you more than a life…”
Tiffah’s mum Zari Hassan echoed a similar message saying: “God knew I needed a mini-me, words can’t express what you mean to me. Love you 10 much @princess_tiffah.”
The three-year-old has around 1.9 million followers on Instagram and is set to be treated to a lavish party by her parents.
Ugandan socialite Zarina (Zari) Hassan dumped her Tanzanian musician husband Diamond Platnumz in February over the internet.
Zari, who bore two children with the musician, announced the divorce to her 3.6 million followers on Instagram on Valentine’s Day.
In the message, she accused the 28 year-old Diamond of ‘constant’ infidelity.
In her post she said, “There have been multiple rumours some with evidence floating around in ALL SORTS of media in regards to Diamond’s constant cheating and sadly I have decided to end my relationship with Diamond as my respect, integrity, dignity and well being cannot be compromised,”
The duo has however continue co-parenting.
In addition Zari said, “We are separating as partners and not as parents,” This doesn’t reduce me as a self-made individual, and as a caring mother, and the boss lady you have all come to know.”
Diamond, met Zari in 2014 on a flight. The romance sparked after Zari had asked for a selfie photo.
A few months later, Zari would dump her now deceased husband Ugandan tycoon Ivan Ssemwanga, the father to her three other kids, in South Africa and relocate to Dar es Salaam to live with Diamond who is seven years younger.
All seemed to be going well between the couple until late 2016 when Diamond began to be linked to scandal after scandal on his infidelity in the media.
The couple were also said to have drifted apart following Zari’s frequent trips to South Africa to manage her late estranged husband’s assets in which she is a trustee.
Diamond is yet to officially comment on the divorce even as speculation persists that Zari has already relocated to South Africa.
Diamond is a Muslim. In 2010, he endorsed Tanzania’s dominant ruling party, the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and its presidential candidate, Jakaya Kikwete. He also recorded a remix of his single Mbagala, titled CCM Tusonge Mbele (CCM Let’s Move Forward).
Diamond is jointly managed by Babu Tale and Said Fella from the Tanzanian music industry. In February 2018 he launched his new Wasafi Tv and Radio in Tanzania.He also launched his first album “A Boy from Tandale” at Nairobi Kenya in march 2018. Diamond is said to be the richest musician in “East Africa”. hes also the second musician after Youssou Ndour of Senegal to own a TV and a RADIO station in “AFRICA”
He set a new record at the Tanzania Music Awards by winning 7 awards, including Best Male Writer, Best Male Artist, Best Song Writer and Best Male Entertainer of the Year. The previous record was set by 20%, a recording artist who walked away with 5 awards at the 2011 Tanzania Music Awards where diamond left empty handed.Prior to accomplishments, Diamond held the record for winning 3 awards at the 2010 Tanzania Music Awards.
