Real Madrid are reportedly in pole position to pull off a stunning double transfer swoop for Chelsea star Eden Hazard and Bayern Munich front-man Robert Lewandowski.The Spanish giants urgently need to strengthen in attack this summer after selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, and it seems this is the pairing they have in mind to come in up front.This is according to the Daily Star, who state Real as being in pole position to sign both players at a total cost of £300million, which seems about the amount you’d expect replacing a star player like Ronaldo to cost in the current market.
The report states Hazard will cost £200m to prise away from Chelsea, while Lewandowski will cost an extra £100
In a double blow to Chelsea, the Star adds that Lewandowski has also been a target for the Blues, which makes sense given the poor form of their striker Alvaro Morata last season.They may have moved on to other targets, however, with Tuttosport suggesting a deal for them to sign Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus is close to completion
