Bale set to succeed Ronaldo

With the Portugal International leaving the Bernabeu, rumours have been flying left, right and centre about who might take his place. It appears that 29 year old Gareth Bale might take up the mantle.Kylian Mbappe graced the headlines as Ronaldo’s best replacement. However, the teenager admitted that he wanted to remain at PSG. Harry Kane too came up as a possible replacement but the fact that he signed a contract extension with Tottenham Hotspur dents that possibility.

Reports has it that Gareth Bale is set to stay at Real Madrid to become Cristiano Ronaldo’s successor as the team’s talisman.The Welshman is expecting positive talks with new coach Julen Lopetegui in the next few weeks, the paper adds. Gareth Bale has struggled for seasons to shine at the Bernabeu and this might be his chance to prove his worth.
