Vihiga United Striker to Miss Rest of the Season with Injury

Vihiga United striker Andrew Murunga has been ruled out for the remainder of the 2018 season with a serious knee injury.

“Murunga got injured in training and he will undergo knee surgery. He collided with his teammate and the injury was bad, he requires surgery.” The club confirmed through Peter Atsiaya, their media liaison officer.

The official was however positive that the club’s other strikers will fill in the void left by the former Ushuru striker, who at one time played for Harambee stars.

“We have three new strikers now, Morven Otinya, Philip Muchuma and Rashid Kyambadde, we hope they will get the goals in his absence,” he said.
