Man City playing with Leicester over Riyad Mahrez

Man City still want to sign Mahrez. But, with time on their side in the summer window, the Sky Blues aren’t will to pay Leicester what they want.

Although progress has been made in Mahrez’s potential move, the two clubs still seem to be playing a game of who will blink first as City hold out for their valuation figure, while the Premier League champions are standing firm on their offer, insisting they could walk away again, as they did in January, and leave City and Mahrez to pick up the pieces.

Leicester are thought to be demanding 80 million pounds for their north African star. It’s worth remembering that Leicester’s billionaire Thai owners are under no pressure to sell Mahrez.

Mahrez, who scored 13 goals and posted 13 assists last season, is under contract at the King power until 2020.
