Napoli are reportedly preparing a £26million bid for Chelsea ace David Luiz.Il Mattino claims the curly-haired fan favourite could be heading to Serie A this summer as the Blues prepare to announce former Napoli chief Maurizio Sarri as their new boss.
The two clubs have been in lengthy talks over a fee for the tactician, who has already been replaced by Carlo Ancelotti.And it appears Napoli are keen to take advantage of the friendly atmosphere by submitting an offer for Brazilian maverick Luiz.
The 31-year-old spent most of the last season sidelined with injury, although reports claim he was dumped after a bust-up with doomed Antonio Conte.And with Chelsea said to be closing in on a £35m deal for Juventus’ Daniele Rugani, it appears Luiz could be shipped off to free up some extra funds.
