Fellaini Praises Jesse Lingard Ahead of Before England vs Belgium tie

Jesse Lingard’s emergence as a World Cup star for England is no surprise to Manchester United team-mate Marouane Fellaini.

Old Trafford star Lingard, scored the pick of the Three Lions’ six goals in their Sunday stroll past Panama and is now set to face Fellaini and Belgium on Thursday in a game that will decide who tops Group G.

Fellaini has acknowledged the progress made by the 25-year-old, who spent his early United career out on loan to Leicester, Birmingham, Brighton and Derby, and revealed it came as no shock to him to see Lingard excelling on the global stage.

“He’s a very clever player on the pitch — and we saw that against Panama,” said the Belgian midfielder. He’s done well for the past few years, that’s why he plays for Manchester United, and he has to continue like that.

“Everybody knows he’s a good player who can score good goals. His ability in front of the goal is good.
