Arsenal will reportedly hold talks with Ever Banega’s agent this week over a potential transfer for the midfielder to the Emirates Stadium.
Sevilla midfielder Banega is allegedly the next target for Gunners boss Unai Emery, who has already brought in full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner and goalkeeper Bernd Leno from Juventus and Bayer Leverkusen respectively.
According to reports in Spain, Banega’s representatives are to meet with Arsenal chiefs this week to thrash out a potential agreement for the player.
Argentina international Banega, who is currently at the World Cup, featured in his side’s 1-1 draw with Iceland on Saturday.
The 29-year-old joined Sevilla four years ago, before returning to his current employers last summer following a spell with Inter Milan.
