WATCH: ‘Rugby tackle’ on Harry Kane that left England fans fuming

When ‘Harry’ met ‘Spear’! English forward Harry Kane went all guns blazing in his FIFA World Cup 2018 opener for the Three Lions against Tunisia in Group G clash at the Russia World Cup 2018, justifying his blistering form in the English Premier League (EPL) this season.

Scoring within 11 minutes of the game, Kane vocalized the hype around the new England team full of budding talents and the English Dream of taking the Cup home. The Spurs’ striker did outshine with his brace scoring the first from a rebound and the winner at the stoppage time.

But the English hitman’s night was full of drama as well. A controversial penalty against Kyle Walker and a couple of tackles on the striker himself which was clearly overlooked.

Cordoned by the brawny Tunisian defence, Kane was tackled twice inside the box. The English fans were left fuming as the referees overlooked the fouls on both the occasions. Even VAR (Video Assistant Referee) was not consulted by the officials on either occasion. The first tackle was quite a phenomenal one from the Tunisian defender where the defender gutted Kane to the ground with a stunning spear into the English forward’s midsection. The second half too witnessed Kane being tackled quite harshly.
