Zapata impressed with Chemelil win

After comfortably seeing off Chemelil Sugar in the Kenya Premier League, AFC Leopards head coach Zapata Rodolfo was quick to has lauded his charges.

Striker Ezekiel Odera came off the bench to score twice in the closing stages of the game to help Ingwe move to third in the Kenyan Premier League table.

Speaking after the match, Rodolfo hailed his team’s fighting spirit despite being frustrated by a determined Chemelil side for the better part of the game.

“We fought like Leopards. We played well created many chances. We had around ten chances in the game,” “we were in control, “he said.

Ingwe threw away many chances before finally breaking down the Charles Odero coached side but the Argentine coach is not bothered by his team’s wastefulness.

“I am not bothered, I played football and I know these things can happen. I will get worried the day we don’t create chances, for now, I am happy with what the boys are doing,” he added.

Next for Leopards is a Shield Cup match against RainForest FC.
