Chemelil Sugar headcoach Charles Odero has blamed his team’s lack of concentration for their 2-0 loss to AFC Leopards in the two team’s Kenya Premier League match played yesterday.

After a resilient performance that put at bay the league’s second most potent side for large spells of the game, Chemelil crumbled in the final 15 minutes of the game as striker Ezekiel Odera came off the bench to grab a late brace.

The loss is the millers fifth in the last six games and after the game Odero rued his sides missed chances as well as paying tribute to Leopards.

He said, “We showed a laxity in our approach in the final 10 minutes or so of the match. Leopards are a good side but we conceded very easy goals.

“Football is a game of chances and they took the ones that came to them whereas we didn’t. It is a heartbreaking loss.”

Chemelil are 13th with 20 points and next take on resurgent Nakumatt FC looking to arrest their slump.
