Boost for Sofpaka ahead of Thika showdown

Sofapaka will be boosted by the return of their lead scorer Kepha Aswani when they take on Thika United in the Kenya Premier League this weekend at the Narok Stadium.

The striker missed the 1 – 2 loss to AFC Leopards last time out and will be back to face another of his former teams’ – Thika United.

Sofapaka go to the game placed fourth in the standings and stand in coach John Baraza, has called for a correction of the mistakes against Leopards as he looks to get the team back to winning ways.

“Against AFC Leopards we wasted a lot of chances. In fact we could have been 2-0 up after the first eight minutes and we later paid for the wastefulness by losing. We now need to bounce back against Thika and go back on track for the title chase,” he told the club website.

Bernard Mangoli however remains out with an injury for Sofapaka.
