Woodward willing to fund Bale to Man United

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is willing to fund a £150m deal for Gareth Bale, Starsport reports.

If Real Madrid’s new boss Julen Lopetegui decides to sell, United will be frontrunners to sign Bale.

But the 28-year-old is keen to work under sacked Spain boss Lopetegui after he was chosen to succeed Zinedine Zidane.

The Wales international has told close friends he is still happy in Madrid
