New Madrid boss keen to sign De Gea

Newly appointed Real Madrid boss Julen Lopetegui has reported to have identified David De Gea his first signing.

Reports in Spain have suggested that the La Liga giants are in the market for a new goalkeeper, with Manchester United stopper David De Gea a long-term target.

But according to Don Balon, a Spanish outlet famous for its outlandish transfer claims, Old Trafford chiefs are not willing to negotiate for their No.1.

The report states that Lopetegui is not a fan of current keeper Keylor Navas and sees De Gea as the ideal replacement.

However Roma’s Alisson has been lined up as an alternative, with United unlikely to budge.
