The weather here has been unstable as this reporter has experienced it since arrival on Tuesday. It has changed like the traffic lights on the roads of Kaliningrad, between a wintry 13 to 15 degrees celsius.
FIFA volunteer worker at the Kaliningrad Stadium, Gregoria Ekaterina, told reporters on Wednesday that the real warm summer weather was yet to be felt in the city, and the people were still eagerly anticipating it. “You can’t be sure about the weather in Kaliningrad these days,” she said. “We can have 10 degrees celsius now, but it goes to about 15 a few hours later. Just be handy with your coat, okay? I guess you’re not used to this kind of weather in your country.”
