La Liga chief Javier Tebas has played down Cristiano Ronaldo’s importance to Spanish football as speculation surrounding the Portuguese’s future continues to rumble on.
Reports Ronaldo could depart the Spanish capital have gathered pace in recent weeks following his comments after the Champions League final.
“The departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, out of 10, worries me a five or a four. It would not be so dramatic for La Liga. We are increasingly independent of big players,” said the La Liga chief.
