2018 World Cup: Phyno’s theme song for Super Eagles excite Mikel, Iwobi & Omeruo

Super Eagles trio, Mikel Obi, Kenneth Omeruo and Alex Iwobi have reacted to the FIFA 2018 World Cup theme song thoughtfully put together by Nigerian indigenous rapper, Phyno which he featured Olamide. The light-skinned singer dropped a harmonious tune in honour of the Nigerian team who will be representing the country on the big stage in Russia. The song, titled “Dem Go Hear Am” paid tribute to Super Eagles players, Victor Moses, Alex Iwobi, Keneth Omeruo, Mikel Obi among others. Also mentioned in the lyrics of the song are some ex-Super Eagles players like Sunday Oliseh, Rashidi Yekini, and Samuel Okwaraji.

In response to the song, Kenneth Omeruo shared the video on his Instagram page which attracted the reactions of his teammates, Alex Iwobi and Mikel Obi. The Arsenal and Tianjin TEDA players ‘liked’ the clip as shared by Omeruo. Music is perceived as an inspiring tool for footballers, we hope the theme song motivates the Super Eagles players towards achieving big in the World Cup.
