FIFA World Cup Russia 2018: A toxic World Cup for Germany

A ball hasn’t been kicked in the World Cup in Russia and yet the atmosphere in many of the dressing rooms is toxic.

From Argentina to Spain through to France and England, many have been involved in controversial instances in the lead up to the tournament.

The reigning world champions have been criticised for the absence of Leroy Sane, one of the stars of Manchester City.

However, the great debate that exists is why Ter Stegen, for many the best goalkeeper in the world today, has been dropped to make way for Manuel Neuer despite the latter having been injured for almost the entire season.

Barcelona’s No.1 didn’t hide his disappointment, since Low announced that the starter will be the goalkeeper of Bayern Munich.
